"Madonna and Child" is the first in a series of sculptures titled 'Dangerous Art.' These pieces are a reaction to 32 of my sculptures being removed from an exhibit I was in October 2013.

The exhibit was held in the Morristown court house, (MorrisArts). After the exhibit was in full swing, the County Sheriff saw my work and deemed it 'dangerous to the public.' He then placed a 24/7 hour guard on my work until I could remove it all, cutting my exhibition down from 3 months to being only 10 days.

This seemed a bit of an over-reaction to me----

Heres some press about it-

"Sandy Baptismal" is a portrait of a friends family that suffered devastating damage from Hurricane Sandy on Staten Island. The inspiration for this piece was the steamer trunk, which was in my studio basement waiting to be used in a sculpture.

After Sandy, I found it had floating in five feet of water.

After talking to my friend it was decided I would do a portrait of the suffering her family had endured. All the detritus in the sculpture is from the yard of the house on Staten Island, the painting in the center of the sculpture was painted by the father, owner of the home and the angle wind chimes were his wives...who had long passed.

Conception 1 & 4 are part of a series of 4 Sculptures titled "Conception." I wanted to talk about "Conception" in its broadest sense. Conception birthing an idea. The series looks at what a person brings to the "idea", intentional or not, their history and their hopes.

The sculptures are meant to represent the "idea" as it is born into the physical world...now a real object, that may or may not be what was intended in its Conception.

"Seduction" is a portrait of a relationship between a father and his child. In a bigger sense, the sculpture talks about seduction between any powerful and weak force.

For example- Government vs Citizen....these relationships are complex and both parties are seduced by the other.
