A portrait of a "Hysterical Woman". Women were deemed to be 'Hysterical' in the early 1900's if they didn't behave the way society (or their husband/family) expected them to. I am working on a series of these women, that will all be part of a circus wagon train. Each woman has a story–this woman killed her husband with a fish that was meant for the frying pan, but came to better use after much criticism about her cooking. (2012)
